Our friends at Topa Topa Brewing had outgrown their current brewing facilities and contacted us to help them again with a new larger brewery with the capacity for future growth. We looked at several sites and ultimately settled on an old concrete warehouse in southern Ventura that previously housed Patagonia’s manufacturing facility. In the first phase of the project we worked with our client to layout the German made brewing line, fermenting vessels, cold storage and canning line. New concrete slabs were poured to support the equipment and to provide drainage. new openings had to be cut in the walls in order to move the large stainless steel vessels and equipment into place. The second phase focused on transforming a 2,500 sf corner of the building into a new tasting room. We designed a bar that wraps around the tap wall with various seating types. We then added a large wood deck at the corner and around existing trees to blur the indoor outdoor feel of the space. Now you can sit under the trees in the shade and sip a tasty Chief Peak with your friends! Future plans include transforming the yard space into a beer garden with space for games, music and food trucks
